Cinnamon Rolls with Brown Sugar Icing

Brown Sugar & Cinnamon...Oh My!!!

Dough
2 cups flour
2 tablespoons sugar
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons butter
3/4 cup milk

Filling
4 tablespoons butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar
3 teaspoons cinnamon

Glaze
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoon milk
1 tablespoon sugar syrup
3 tablespoon butter
Pinch of cinnamon
Pinch of salt

For the filling, in a bowl combine the butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon to form a crumbly mixture.
Sprinkle 1/2 of the mixture over the bottom of your baking pan
In a large bowl mix together flour, sugar ( if you are using honey, you want to mix the honey with the milk) baking powder, and salt
Cut in softened butter ( use your hands to mix the ingredients )
Stir in milk to form a soft dough
Roll out dough on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle shape about 1/4 inch thick
Spread the remaining filling on the rolled out dough
Roll up the rectangle, with a sharp knife slice into 18 small rolls (if you want you can make them bigger)
Bake for 20-25 minutes ( it depends on your oven) at 400 degrees. I make mine for 15 minutes.
For the glaze, combine the butter, brown sugar, milk, sugar syrup, and cinnamon in a sauce pan over medium low heat. Stir for about 5 minutes and take off heat and cool.
Once rolls are finished, drizzle glaze.
