Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with Homemade Tortillas
Cinco de Mayo is approaching us and I am excited. Here is a little wikipedia history about this wonderful holiday. It’s a voluntary holiday that the US celebrates to commemorate the Mexican army’s victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862, under the leadership of Mexican General Ignaciio Zaragoza Seguin.
Cindo de Mayo is not Mexico’s Independence Day, which actually is September 16, the most important day national patriotic holiday in Mexico. For the most part the celebrations combine food, music, and dancing. Enjoy your Cinco de Mayo!!!
