Apple Raspberry Crumble

apple raspberry crumble

Something to soothe the soul for Fall.

Ingredients:
1 Granny Smith Apple
2 Golden Delicious
1/4 c Fresh Raspberries

In a low heated sauce pan, add 1 tablespoon of butter. Add apples and cook until they are tender but not mushy. Take out apples and pour into a baking dish. In the same sauce pan increase the heat to medium high and add 1/2 cup of apple cider, 1/3 cup of honey, 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, and a pinch of cinnamon. Reduce heat to simmer and add 1 teaspoon of arrowroot. Pour sauce into baking dish with the apples and raspberries and combine well. Sprinkle Crumble.

Soft Crumble Top
1/4 c Flour
1/4 c Pecans
1/4 c Oats
4 tablespoon Cold Butter
Pinch Salt
1/4 c Brown Sugar (if you have a sweet tooth) I did not use

Blend everything in a food processor. Sprinkle on top of the apples and raspberries.
Place in a 425 degree preheated oven and baked until juices began to bubble and the crumble turns golden brown.
