Royal Icing Snowflake Buttons:
3 tablespoon Meringue Powder
4 cups sifted Confectioners' Sugar
6 tablespoon warm water
Beat all ingredients until icing forms peaks (7-10minutes at low speed with a stand still mixture, 10-12minutes at high speed with a hand-held mixer.)
Makes 3 cups.
Making Snowflake Buttons:
A sheet of White Paper
Using the black marker draw out your tiny snowflake design on the white paper.
Tape the sheet of white paper to the cookie sheet and place the parchment paper on top
of white paper and tape it also to the cookie sheet.
Place icing in a pipping bag and begin to follow your design you have drawn as you pipe icing onto the parchment paper.
Allow snowflake buttons to dry 2-3hrs or overnight. Gently peel the parchment paper from the snowflakes...they are very delicate...so be patient.
