Homemade Bruschetta
Ah, the taste of summer!! Bruschetta is an Italian appetizer that consist of thick slices of toasted bread, tomatoes, fresh garden basil, garlic, and your best olive oil. It can be a snack, appetizer, you can add meat or have it as your salad. Either way, it taste very very good.
Ingredients:
Red cherry tomatoes
Yellow cherry tomatoes
French bread
fresh basil (a handful)
1clove of garlic
salt
black pepper
goat cheese
olive oil (the good olive oil)
butter
Slice the tomatoes half lengthwise and remove the seeds. Place tomatoes in a bowl. Chop the basil and place in the same bowl as the tomatoes. Season the mixture with a little salt, black pepper, and olive oil.
Slice the french bread however you like. You can cut it straight, round, or diagonally. Brown the bread in a hot skillet with olive oil and butter. After the bread is done slice a clove of garlic in half and rub it on the bread. Top the bread with the tomato basil mixture and a little goat cheese. Sprinkle some sea salt and crack pepper. Last, drizzle with olive oil.
